Operating through four segments Aggregates, Asphalt, Concrete, and Calcium Vulcan offers a comprehensive range of products and services. The Aggregates segment provides crushed stones, sand and gravel, and other aggregates used in the construction and maintenance of highways, streets, public works, and various residential and commercial buildings.
The Asphalt Mix segment specializes in the production and distribution of asphalt mix in states including Alabama, Arizona, California, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Texas, and also engages in asphalt construction paving activities in Alabama, Tennessee, and Texas. The Concrete segment supplies ready-mixed concrete across California, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Meanwhile, the Calcium segment focuses on mining, producing, and selling calcium products for use in the animal feed, plastics, and water treatment industries.
Originally known as Virginia Holdco, Inc., the company was rebranded as Vulcan Materials Company. Founded in 1909, Vulcan has grown to become a cornerstone of the construction industry.
